...Seriously, Paul Verhoeven might be my new favorite director. I've got to see "RoboCop" and "Starship Troopers" stat! I have been on a sci-fi futuristic film kick, and had been told I should see "Total Recall" (1990) and it blew my mind it was so perfectly campy and good to look at. "Showgirls" is one of my favorites, and I recently revisited "Basic Instinct." He may take himself too seriously at times, but Verhoeven seems pretty under-appreciated all in all.
